Good afternoon, everyone!
Yes, yes, I know it’s Thursday… I’m so sorry this is later than expected. It’s just been that kind of week for me. Miss Katie helped me out by writing a wonderful assignment for you all (one that will get your brain juices flowing!) but I didn’t get it posted in time for this week. So I will save that little gem for next week.
So your only assignment for this week is to help me fill in our last few weeks of class time with labs and experiments and fun stuff (PHYSICS stuff, people! 😉 ). I want you all to scour the internet (websites, youtube, etc.) for interesting labs we can do for the rest of this year and send me the links so I can check them out. I’ll choose from among the best (and most feasible with our class budget and space constraints) and add them to our list. They can be quick and easy or fairly involved, and they can be related to any segment we’ve studied. Keep in mind that our lab day for thermodynamics (fire, boys, fire… 😀 ) was snowed out, so we need to cover that segment. We also have not done anything with Newton’s Laws of Motion or special relativity, so I’d like you all to focus on those three units first and then branch out to previous areas we’ve studied.
You should all submit THREE links to labs or experiments to me. You can either email them to me or add the links in the comments section below this post. They really can be as simple as a youtube video, but suggestions that include detailed instructions, follow-up questions, or a worksheet/lab report will make your teacher a very happy camper, indeed. 🙂
I thank you in advance! The internet is a dizzying place and this old brain of mine is relying on your young synapses for help weeding through the flotsam and jetsam to get to the good stuff I know is out there.
Have a great weekend!
